Before you can deploy
We check for a plan whenever you create or bring back compute: creating a project, creating a , promoting or rolling back, approving a fork deployment, or handling a GitHub push.Plans and their limits
There are three plans, cheapest to most capable: Starter, Pro, and Business. The plan sets the limits for your workspace. See Limits. These are the same numbers the dashboard shows. Compute limits covers where each limit is enforced.Spend budget
A Compute plan meters usage above what the plan includes. Workspace admins can set a monthly spend budget in whole dollars under Settings > Billing. Unkey emails the admins when month-to-date Compute spend crosses 50, 75, and 100 percent of the budget. If you also turn on the stop option, hitting 100 percent suspends the workspace’s compute: running deployments are stopped, the gateway answers every request with402 and spend_limit_reached, and starting or waking a deployment is refused. Raise or remove the budget, or turn the stop option off, and compute comes back. You do not need to pick a new plan. Full detail is on Spend budget.
If you cancel Compute
Canceling Compute takes effect immediately: running deployments are torn down for good, the plan is cleared, and the subscription won’t renew. The current period isn’t refunded. Until someone picks a plan again, you can’t deploy, promote, or roll back. If the workspace is on the free API Management tier and your Compute plan includes team members (Pro or Business), canceling deactivates every member except the workspace creator. Downgrading from Pro or Business to Starter does the same.Next steps
